Integrating Imaging and Genetics in Cognitive Research May 8th - 11th, 2007 Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

The 2007 meeting in Amsterdam at the cross roads of genetics and brain imaging has taken place from May 8th to May 11th.

Leaders in the fields of human genetics and brain imaging have presented an overview of their latest findings. The aim of this meeting was to stimulate enduring collaboration between brain imagers and geneticists working in the area of cognitive neuroscience.

During the first three days, plenary lectures by an impressive list of invited speakers were scheduled. In the poster sessions work from PhD students was presented. The 4th day was reserved for two master classes on “Basic Genetics for Imagers” and “Basic Imaging for Geneticists”.

The meeting took place at two historical locations situated closely together in the heart of Amsterdam: Historical Hotel the Grand and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences building (“Trippenhuis”). Ninety two participants attended over 25 hours of cutting edge lectures on imaging and genetics in cognitive research. These were met with an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from all involved, organizers, speakers and audience alike.

As the meeting was highly successful, we intend to plan another meeting in 2008. Please refer to this webpage for further information on future meetings.
